I qualified from the University of the West of England with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy having previously completed a degree in Zoology at Bristol University. I then went on to spend the next eight years working in Surrey in the NHS in an acute foundation hospital specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy having completed my junior rotations. Over the last five years I have also been working within the private sector. I have gained experience in all areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy and have had the opportunity to work as a senior physiotherapist in specialised areas including a multidisciplinary chronic pain team and hand team and hydrotherapy. In 2011 I went on to specialise within the NHS in lower limb and sports injuries. I have completed many postgraduate courses since my initial qualification including muscle energy techniques for the neck, mid back and lower back and pelvis along with myofascial release. I have practiced acupuncture for pain relief since 2006 and am a qualified APPI Pilates instructor with experience in running classes from Surrey. In my spare time I enjoy many outdoor activities especially walking in Exmoor and Dartmoor and I am a keen squash player having competed competitively at a county level and for Bristol University. I look forward to meeting you soon.
